Batch 1 Finishes Basic Photography Workshop

The very first batch of the Basic Photography Workshop for 2009 has completed its 5-day seminar (January 3,10,17,24 & Feb 7) with the successful participants receiving their awards and certificates of completion from the FPPF. The class went through a series of lectures and hands-on training on subjects that included basic operation of a DSLR camera, elements of design, composition, basic portraiture and studio lighting. The workshop also included critique sessions after every shooting assignment.

At the end of the 5-day workshop, the participants were required to submit 8×10 prints on two photo assignments: Environmental Portrait showing a person in his everyday milieu, and Still Life on the subject of “Blue & Yellow.” The best photographs received medals and trophies.
