Batch 19 Portrait winners (L-R): Lindy Go 4th Place, Michael Reyes 2nd, Jelo Deveraturda standing in for David Tan 1st Place, Rubi Rosa Barion Arreza 3rd Place and Rolly Borlongan 5th.
Rubi Rosa (she’s that lady in the photo above, 2nd from right) came to the workshop with her shiny new DSLR camera expecting to learn a lot of things about photography, only to be frustrated by what she considered to be too much technical matters on the very first day of class. Compounding her bewilderment was the thought that she was being left behind by her younger classmates who seemed to be absorbing the lessons without difficulty – technical terms and all!
“Generation gap,” she thought. She blamed it on the fact that she was a lot older than most of her batchmates (she actually looks very young – even gorgeous, as you can see in the photo). She almost gave up on the second day and decided that she would no longer attend the subsequent sessions. But other voices prevailed, and she persisted. By persisting, she now avers that she has emerged from the workshop with a new perspective on photography, learning a lot in the process.
On graduation day, Rubi Rosa won a trophy for her portrait entry; she emerged as 3rd Place winner in her class.

Congratulations to all of us! This would not be successful without the unwavering support of our mentors. Kahit na medyo magulo class natin, este maingay (di ba Gelo), e sobra talaga yung patience nila.
See you all sa mga photowalks!
Team Bullies, the best! V! V! V!
