The whole class of the Basic Photography Workshop, weekdays of October 12-16, 2009 – all nine of them. From left to right: Charles Cebedo, Ahmed Al-Mubarak, Lynette Maglinte, Kath de Catalina, Rosemarie Beltran, Olga Villanueva, Benj Yu, Ferdinand Tingzon and Liam Arrogante.

The class seemed to have bonded quite well during the five-day sessions, aside from learning DSLR camera operations, composition and the basics of lighting and portraiture. After the workshop, they’re going separate ways again. Lynette (2nd from left), for example, is going back to Qatar where she works while Kath (standing at the back) is going back to Italy. Ahmed, at left, is a Filipino who has an Arab father.

Olga Villanueva addresses her classmates and instructors, after winning the medal for topping the Still Life category.

Benj Yu gets her medal from Prof. Joey Tañedo for submitting the best portrait in the class.

FPPF Chairwoman Eduviges Y. Huang, 3rd from right, handed the certificates of completion to all participants. She is shown here giving it to Olga Villanueva. Looking on are FPPF mentors Rod Banzon, Lito Beltran, Joey Tañedo and Dennis Araneta.
