Cebu Photography Workshops 3

The FPPF will be in Cebu from January 6 to 9, 2010 to conduct photography workshops in the Queen City. This is the third time the FPPF conducted the workshops, the first being in June and the second in October last year. This time around, the workshops will be two-pronged: one for Basic Photography and another for Advanced.

The FPPF Cebu Photography Workshops 3, to be held at the Sacred Heart Center at D. Jakosalem St., will have FPPF instructors Ador Pamintuan, Prof. Joey Tañedo, Dennis Araneta and Chris Malinao for the Basic workshop, and Vic Sison and Rod Banzon for the Advanced.

Basic will tackle digital single-lens reflex (DSLR) camera operation and handling as well as understanding ISO, aperture and shutter speed and how they relate to correct exposure; mastering depth of field, understanding how the camera meters, composition, elements of design, lighting theory and practice and a comprehensive introduction to the digital imaging workflow. The lessons will be full of hands-on exercises using the DSLR camera. The lighting session will simulate studio photography, complete with studio strobes, for the participants to have an in-depth understanding of lighting principles.

The Advanced workshop will focus on lessons and exercises that will prepare participants for a career as professional photographers. Serious hobbyists are also welcome, as well as professionals who wish to refresh their knowledge with the new technologies. The Advanced workshop will include Food Photography, Fashion and Glamour Photography and Bridal Portraiture. Professional models will be available for photo shoots in a studio setup as well as outdoor shooting with available light.
