The Federation of Philippine Photographers Foundation (FPPF) is holding a Wedding Photography Workshop from February 16 to 19, 2010 at the FPPF Art Chamber 2, Fort Santiago, Intramuros, Manila.
The four-day workshop is designed for aspiring wedding photographers, advanced amateurs, photographers of studios who do wedding coverage, hobbyists and photography students who want to learn the ropes of wedding photography.
Well known professional wedding photographers will conduct the workshop, with Jomel Gregorio and Joe Galian, both photography instructors at the De La Salle College of Saint Benilde School of Design and Arts headlining the list of mentors. The workshop also features the participation of ace wedding photographer Chito Cleofas, who will share his wedding shoot techniques and tips on becoming a successful wedding photographer. There will be additional lectures by FPPF instructors Vic Sison, Ador Pamintuan and graphic artist Frando Culata.
The Wedding Photography Workshop will cover topics from photographers’ etiquette, proper decorum and attire to preparing your team, equipment and logistics; from wedding contract elements to wedding photo services and professional fee guidelines, wedding suppliers sample, portfolio guide, bridal fairs and finding your shooting style.
The workshop will also discuss off-camera flash and mixed lighting such as can usually be encountered in churches, and how to light and shoot the hotel preparation. Then on to shooting the groom and the bride separately with their wardrobe, accessories and relatives, and pre-church portraiture.
Main highlight of the workshop is the shoot with the bride and groom in the wedding ceremony which will be simulated in the art chamber. A real priest, Father Arthur Chrzanowski SDS, who also happens to be a photographer himself, will be on hand to offer guidance about the wedding ceremony.
Workshop fee is P7,500 for the 4-day workshop. Details of the workshop HERE. Those interested to join may register online HERE.
