FPPF Offers Advanced Photography Workshop on Weekdays

An Advanced Photography class in action. The FPPF is offering weekday sessions for Advanced Photography to accommodate a growing number of requests.

An Advanced Photography class in action. The FPPF is offering weekday sessions for Advanced Photography to accommodate a growing number of requests.

The FPPF is offering weekday sessions, Monday to Friday, for Advanced Photography. The weekday workshop is for those who are coming from the provinces, balikbayans, tourists, professional photographers, graduates of basic photo workshops and others who may not have the time to attend our regular weekend sessions.

The module for Advanced Photography is also offered to institutions that may choose their corporate offices as venue for the workshop, with no additional charge within Metromanila.

The course content for the special weekday sessions for Advanced Photography is as follows:

Day 1 – Morning: Theory of light. Light sources: one light, two lights, three lights, use of light modifiers, lighting ratio, modelling light and what it does for portrait use of mirrors and light modifiers like gobo, mirrors, cardboards, etc. How to light still life and portrait. For still life fruits demo; for portraits, participants as models.

Afternoon: Food photography with actual shoot of (select 2) sinigang, or fried chicken/pizza pie. (Two-light set ups only).

Day 2 – Fashion/glamour photography, available light shooting and studio lighting with 1 or 2 models

Day 3 – Wedding photography, how to shoot a bride, with available light in Fort Santiago and studio lighting inside chamber

Day 4 – Morning: Location shoot – Manila Zoo. Afternoon: downloading of images for critique and selection for photo essay presentation max 7 (5 x 7) photos

Day 5 – Presentation and evaluation of portfolio which shall consist of photos of food, wedding, glamour/fashion and photo essay on location shoot.

Awarding of certificates and a short program.
End of workshop.

Workshop fee is P5,000 for 5 full-day sessions; minimum of 8, maximum of 20 participants.

FPPF to Hold Basic Photography Workshop in Malolos, Bulacan

The Federation of Philippine Photographers Foundation (FPPF) will hold a workshop on Basic Photography in Malolos for five Saturdays from February 27 to March 27, 2010.

Venue will be the Kamalig Restaurant in Sta. Isabel, Malolos City, Bulacan, just a stone’s throw away from the Sta. Isabel Church. The 5 workshop sessions will be on Feb 27, March 6, 13, 20 & 27, from 9am to 5pm.

The workshop will cover camera functions and how to operate the digital single-lens reflex (DSLR) camera for proper exposure control, composition, elements of design, portrait posing & lighting, outdoor portraiture and lighting table top still life. There will be critique sessions after the daily hands-on shoots and prizes will be awarded to the best shots.

Workshop fee is P3,600 inclusive of lunch. The workshop will be limited to only 30 participants for effective hands-on instructions. FPPF instructors from Manila will conduct the workshop.
